We deliver accredited Level 3 and Level 4 Facilitator Training for those wishing to work professionally in equine-assisted practice, learning, and development.

The OCNLR qualifications are regulated and recognised by Ofqual, giving learners and organisations confidence that the training meets national standards for quality, rigour, and professional practice and a proven pathway for facilitators.

For over five years, we have been training and mentoring others to deliver equine-assisted work in a way that is ethical, trauma-aware, and deeply respectful of the horse as a sentient partner. Our graduates now work across education, wellbeing, therapeutic settings, alternative provision, and leadership development.

This training is rooted in our long-standing ethos:

Listening to the horse as an active participant, not a tool

Understanding equine behaviour, communication, and welfare in depth

Holding people with professionalism, boundaries, and compassion

Delivering work that is safe, reflective, and ethically grounded

Our role in facilitator education goes beyond delivery. We were part of the national panel responsible for redesigning the current L3 Diploma, contributing our frontline experience of what truly works in practice — for both humans and horses.

The accredited training at Horserenity is not only aligned with the qualification — it helped to create it.

We have also been instrumental in writing and shaping the new Level 4 qualification, ensuring it reflects:

Real-world facilitation skills

A deeper understanding of the horse’s lived experience

Higher expectations of professional responsibility, reflection, and ethical practice.

The Level 3 and Level 4 programmes are designed for those who want more than a certificate.

They are for people who wish to:

Facilitate with integrity and confidence

Work in true partnership with horses

Develop reflective, responsive, and responsible practice

Meet professional and regulatory expectations without losing heart or authenticity

Learners are supported to grow not just in skills and knowledge, but in presence, awareness, and accountability — qualities essential for this work.

Who This Training Is For:

Practitioners seeking accredited facilitator qualifications

Centres wishing to train staff in line with a strong ethical framework

Experienced equine professionals moving into facilitation roles

Organisations looking for robust, Ofqual-regulated training pathways

If you would like to know more about either level of qualification or how it might work for you, please get in touch with Sarah on sarah@horserenity.co.uk. You can book a zoom or an on-site introductory morning.
