The first thing to do in this blog is to thank everyone for their kind words, great location ideas and support, over the last six weeks. It hasn't been easy but we have been mindful to keep ourselves calm around the horses in order to make their transition to the new site as smooth as possible. They are settling well and enjoying having new neighbours. Shadow is particularly enjoying making eyes at the dashing thoroughbred in the next door paddock.
Once we had been offered the new space at Milldown Stud in Blandford Forum and were readying for the move, we were touched by so many offers to help us with the physical involvement of moving both animals and infrastructure. A group of teenagers from Sturminster Marshall came up trumps and spent two days on site breaking things down, and loading things we needed, onto the lorry ready for transporting. Including Woody, who is incredibly heavy!
Our new address is - Milldown Stud, Tin Pot Lane, Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 7TD.
We are the third set of metal gates down on the right hand side, once you have turned down Tin Pot Lane. We will be putting a sign up so that we are easily found.
